Important: Please substitute example.com with your domain name.

Setting up your Cape Publishing hosted e-mail account in an e-mail client like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird takes just a few minutes. Please use the following settings. We recommend using a robust email client with a secondary spam filter rather than a simplified client like Outlook Express.

Server type: IMAP

Account name: Your full email address

Username: Your username is your full email address, i.e. info@example.com. (Do not use simply "info.")

Password: As assigned. If you need your password reset, please call us at 609-898-4500. We cannot recover a lost password.

Incoming server: mail.example.com / Port: 143 / SSL: None / Authentication: Normal Password

Outgoing SMTP server: mail.example.com / Port: 587 (25 sometimes doesn't work with Comcast) / SSL: None / Authentication: Normal Password

Your email client MAY give you a security warning during setup. Please tell it to proceed.

Troubleshooting

New mail isn't arriving to my inbox!

Make sure you are opening the correct inbox. IMAP accounts have their own inbox, which is separate from the Local Folders structure you may be used to.
